Jose Paulo Brenes joined Pacheco Coto in 2002 to head the Firm's Intellectual Property Division.

He has extensive experience with the registration and enforcement of all kinds of intellectual property rights and frequently counsels clients on complex licensing and franchising agreements.

He has been a forerunner in anti-counterfeit procedures and intellectual property litigation, being one of the first attorneys in Costa Rica to effectively carry out a raid and seizure of counteirfeited goods under the new IP law.
